Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is a treatment that solves physical, mental, and psychosocial problems of patients who are unable to lead a social life on their own due to illness or accident through work using various equipment or techniques.

Occupational therapy restores essential physical functions for performing activities of daily living (ADL) and helps you lead an independent social life by combining cognitive therapy, swallowing therapy, and psychotherapy.

ADL(Activities of Daily Living) Therapy

ADL therapy is a treatment that maximizes the function of recovered muscles and joints through occupational therapy and teaches specific movements using various equipment used in daily life.

All actions that may occur in daily life, such as eating using eating utensils, using the washbasin and putting on makeup, using the toilet to dispose of urine and feces, taking off and putting on top or bottoms, getting up and down in bed, showering or bathing, etc., are practiced in an environment similar to home.

Cognitive Rehabilitation

We evaluate and analyze the degree of disability in each cognitive area
using various cognitive ability assessment tools standardized domestically and
internationally.

Depending on the patient's degree of cognitive impairment, cognitive rehabilitation is also considered
during exercise or occupational therapy. By using a computerized cognitive rehabilitation program
with high patient compliance, not only cognitive ability but also exercise ability can be improved.

Splints

Patient-tailored splints are handy in occupational therapy as
they can relieve pain in patients with musculoskeletal injuries and prevent joint
deformation.

Most splints are designed and made on-site by occupational therapists,
depending on the damage to the patient's muscles and joints.

By combining splints with occupational therapy,
you can prevent additional musculoskeletal damage and double
the effectiveness of occupational therapy.
